About
After studying humanities at college I realised I was better suited to a more creative role and with a personal background in construction I decided to change my career path to Interior Design. During university I worked on my creativity whilst being consistent in my practical and research skills, leading to a nomination for the Lancashire Arts Fest 3d Design Award. Achieving a Masters degree has been a long term goal of mine and through completing it I discovered a passion for sustainable design and the importance of history.
Since university I have started my own business with which I fully renovated a house, from designing, to plastering and kitchen fitting, to landscaping, where I could put my skills to use and learn knew ones whilst project managing. Through all of my education and beyond I have worked in hospitality, working my up to team lead and management positions alongside being a chef and barista where I could be creative with menus and their design, host events and develop my communication skills. I also became in charge of the social media account where I began learning photography, staging, retail display and content managing leading to an improvemnt in my organsation skills.
I then had a career break and went travelling across Asia where I have met incredible people who have taught me about resilience and hope through their history and culture which has allowed me to be more free thinking and confident. Inspiration though is what I gained most whilst travelling by seeing the architecture and design firsthand in so many countries and how it varies through size and adornments. Seeing the relationships between people and design has reminded me why I am so drawn to it.
